Where are you headed?

Have you ever felt stuck? I have. A lot of people I've met have no problem being busy, but busyness does not translate to productiveness. Do you know where you are headed? What's your next move? We all end up somewhere. Either by default or by design.

"It's your direction, not your intention that determines your destination"

1) Choose the right path:

It seems we are all in a hurry to get nowhere fast. Successful people take the time to define their destination before heading out. There's a desire for adventure inside all of us. Have you ever decided to take a last minute vacation without properly planning? The outcome may not have been what you expected. It may have been more costly and stressful.

ACTION: Map out your destination: Take time today to chart your path. Define your destination and choose your path. Determine how long will it take for you to get there?

"There is no such thing as unrealistic goals, just unrealistic deadlines"

2) Ask for directions:

Successful people are successful because they know the important of asking the right people how to get to where they are going. Pride is one of the biggest limiting factors when it comes to people achieving their dreams. Pride says, we are not willing to learn from others successes and failures. As you walk your path you will meet others along the way. There will be other travels who have done the journey.

ACTION: Share your path with those that have successfully completed the journey. Ask them what they would have done differently and how to make slight course adjustments along the way.

Write down who you know, who has taken a similar path? and make a plan to meet with them this week.

3) Take time to rest along the way: It's important that we enjoy the journey. The journey will take time and you don't want to miss out on the challenges and opportunities along the way. If we don't take the time rest, reflect and recharge we risk burnout. I've seen too many people fail to do this and lose their passion. Progress without purpose and passion only leads to pain.

ACTION: Write down what re-creates you and when and where you will rest on your journey. Write down destination points where you will celebrate and kick back! Remember to take lots of pictures! This will remind you how far you've come and whom you have met along at the way.

Make today your best day yet!
