DESIRE

“The depth of my desire outweighs the depth of my difficulties” We all have a desire to do something. Have you or someone you’ve known said these words? “I’ve always been this way” Labels lie and limit us. Next time you catch yourself or someone else saying that, respond with “How’s that working out for you?” 1) Desire:

You have to look at the BIGGER picture and have a belief in yourself. You need to learn to have faith even if things don't go the way you planned or in the timing you've hoped. I believe deep inside of you, you know the kind of person you were designed to be. You can accomplish any goal if you are more consistent then everyone else around you. "An acorn will become an oak tree." Have a desire to become who you were designed to be. The potential of success is in that seed. I believe there is limitless potential trapped inside of you. Questions: a) What are you going after today? This week? This year? b) If there was just one thing you could achieve what would it be? 2) Discipline:

You need to have the discipline to match the desire. Dedication is part of the process. There will be times when you loose the desire, but your discipline must out weight the “feeling of desire” Everybody wants it now. We get good at setting goals, but overwhelmed at the bigger picture. - Take it one step at a time. The reason we don't become who we want want is because we get attached to who we’ve been. Difficult moments are what shape our destiny. Disciplines shape our habits, habits shape our horizon. When we do different, we experience different.

“Habits shape our horizon” Questions: a) What will you purpose to do: today? This week? This year? b) List 3 positive disciplines you will continue to do daily. 3) Determination:

Don’t give up. Don't be afraid to take calculated risks. Don't be afraid to fail. It’s only failure if you give up. Continue to fail forward. Every time you face an obstacle you face an opportunity. You learn something about yourself and you discover new problems to solve. Each barrier is a breakthrough to blessing. Break it down to measurable wins. Anyone who has ever done something extraordinary has encountered difficulties. You must progress in order to prosper. It’s not a lack of provision, but a lack of priorities. There are resources all around you, you just need to unlock the potential within you. Questions: a) What must you resolve? b) What is it that you hope to discover about yourself?
